The Youth are the future of tele!
Locally, we work with Grand Targhee Resort on a Kids telemark program, and provide free gear for the kids to use. We also have kids gear in our in-house and travelling demo fleets. Stop by if your kid would like to try tele!
We also work with high school tele teams and college tele/ski/outdoor clubs on helping them outfit their demo fleets. There's no better time to learn the turn than before you enter the real world!
How to do it yourself
Younger kids can use older Garmont and Scott G-Rex or Telesaurus boots, which were made all the way down to size mondo 19.0 for tykes. Look on ebay or ask at your local dealer. These boots all work with our Kids Vice Bindings, or any Small Vice or Axl bindings. Vintage boots like the T2 work well for older kids too. These are commonly available at mountain town thrift stores.
Modern NTN boots were made by Scarpa down to size 22.5, and work really well for older kids with our Bandit or Outlaw X bindings. Soft Springs are available for these bindings. The control (and step in) that NTN gives adults is something kids dig too!
