Where are you from, when did you begin skiing and telemarking, where do you ski most now?
I was born in Granada, in the south of Spain. My home resort is Sierra Nevada where I started skiing on a school trip at age 7. Immediately loved it. After graduation from University, I decided to follow my childhood dream to become a snow sports instructor. Years passed until I was able to try Telemark. It was in Saas-Fee, Switzerland in 2010 when I Tele'd for the first time. Never stopped since. Nowadays I chase winters between Niseko mountains in Japan and Perisher in Australia.
What do you love about telemarking?
Everything. The power, the freedom, the never-ending challenge, the creativity that comes with it, the spirit, the community, the people I meet, the friends I make, how absolutely alive it makes me feel, the fact that there is always something to learn, new things to try and a lot to practice. I have come a long way, and still have a long way to go. I just want more, it is never enough.
What do you like about our bindings?
Everything, but let me explain. Taking into account my boot size (Mondo Point 21.5), 22 Designs Vice is the only strong, solid, and powerful active binding ready to absorb my movements, hold my position and allow me to get the desired high performance I want in Telemark. I've been very grateful ever since I found them. The Vice mounted on a 22 Designs race plate also gives me the opportunity to tip my skis more without booting out, and that is just amazing. I also love the fact that the active / passive pivot point can be adjusted easily giving me a wide range to play with. The AXL gives me the exact same feeling of stability and trust in the backcountry, letting me go faster, deeper and steeper with confidence.
What do you like to do for fun when you’re not skiing?
I'm up for any outdoor adventure anytime, anywhere. Surfing, climbing and hiking are my favorites. Filming and editing are my new hobbies.
Accomplishments, competition results, awards, other sponsors, etc.
