Scotty McGee

Scotty McGee is one of the most accomplished telemarkers in the country. He is the Ski School Trainer at the Jackson Hole Mtn Resort, and a member of the PSIA Telemark Demo Team. You'll find him tearing up Jackson Hole on his HammerHeads all winter and cruising the backcountry on his skate skis in the spring. In the summer, he is an Exum mountain guide.

Where are you from, when did you begin skiing and telemarking, and where do you ski most now?

I'm from Nashville and SLC. I began skiing at age 6 in Taos. Started telemarking at age 18, Snowbird. I ski mostly in the Tetons now.

What are your favorite boots and skis?

Crispi CXU and XR, K2 Work Stinx.

What do you like about HammerHeads?

Positive feel. No prerelease. Binding holds the ball of the boot down to the ski. Highly durable.

What do you like to do for fun when you’re not skiing?

Climb, blade, unicycle, bake, read and write.
