Axl

Technical Information

Tech Bulletin: Mounting Small size Axls on boots with less than 28cm total sole length (roughly Mondo 23 and under). When marking your skis, keep at least 26.2 cm from the Axl pin line mark to the back of boot heel mark (add 1/2 cm if using a HammerHead Jig). If you're unsure, drill the front Axl holes and place the binding on them before drilling the rear holes.

Also: Don't forget to check the Axl pivot screws to make sure they stay tight. If they become loose, reinstall them with slow cure epoxy.

Specs

  • Large Axls weigh 3.9 lbs per pair, including HammerHeels and climbing bails.
  • The rise is 23 mm off the top of the ski, wih a 2 degree ramp.
  • Spring travel: 2.44 inches. Spring length: 4.9 inches.
